This policy applies to all paid services sold by SpeedCalcs (speedcalcs.com) via Gumroad, including Custom Calculator Development (Starter, Standard, Premium), Calculator Rental/Licensing Plans and digital downloads (guides, worksheets, templates). It supplements our Terms of Service.
Refund Window
All refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] within 14 days of your purchase date (or, for custom builds within 14 days of your most recent payment). After 14 days, refunds are only available under the specific circumstances listed below.
Custom Calculator Development (Starter $60 / Standard $150 / Premium $400)
Refund eligibility depends on how far your project has progressed:
Before the consultation/work begins Full refund, minus any third party costs already incurred on your behalf.
After work begins, before delivery If you cancel mid project, you're refunded for the undelivered portion only. You pay for the work and hours already completed (e.g., if a Standard build is 70% built when you cancel, you're refunded roughly 30%).
If we fail to deliver according to the agreed scope, you're refunded the unearned/undelivered portion in full.
After delivery
- Starter & Standard packages include 30 days of post delivery revisions. If the calculator doesn't work as described, tell us we'll fix it. Refunds are not offered in place of using this revision window.
- Premium includes lifetime support under the same principle: functional issues get fixed not refunded.
- Once you've approved a deliverable, that deliverable is non-refundable. "I changed my mind" after approval isn't a valid refund reason a verifiable defect we can't or won't fix is.
Calculator Rental / Licensing Plans (1/3/5 calculators: $15.99 / $39.99 / $69.99 per month)
First 14 days: If you cancel within 14 days of subscribing and haven't embedded/actively used the calculator on a live site, you get a full refund.
If the calculator doesn't function as described and our support team can't resolve it within the window, you also qualify for a full refund.
After 14 days or once actively in use: You can cancel anytime access simply runs through the end of your current billing period, per our Terms of Service. We don't prorate or refund partial months for change of mind cancellations.
If you're unhappy with a specific calculator, swap it for a different one from the library at no cost before cancelling just email [email protected] and we'll switch it within 48 hours.
Always Eligible for a Refund
- Duplicate charges or clear billing errors: full refund, no questions asked.
- Payments taken in error or unauthorized charges.
Not Eligible for a Refund
- Change of mind after custom development work has started or rental access has been granted and used.
- Deliverables you've already approved or rental months already active/used.
- Third party costs (fonts, APIs, hosting, licenses) incurred on your project.
- Functionality broken by edits you made to the code or embed after delivery.
- Cancellations requested after substantial project progress you pay for work/hours completed plus any costs incurred.
Digital Downloads (Guides, Worksheets, Templates)
These are standalone digital products sold on Gumroad.
Because files are delivered instantly, all sales are final once a file has been downloaded except where the file is genuinely defective (won't open, missing content, wrong file) or was purchased in error/duplicate, in which case email us within 14 days for a full refund or a corrected file.
How to Request a Refund
- Email [email protected] with your Gumroad receipt and a short description of the issue.
- We respond within 48 hours and where possible will try to fix the issue first (support, a quick revision, a calculator swap) before processing a refund.
- Approved refunds are issued through Gumroad within 5–10 business days. Any Gumroad processing fees on the original transaction are non-refundable.
- In some cases we may offer a partial refund, a service credit or a free upgrade/extension in lieu of a full refund we'll always discuss this with you first.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank or card provider we'd rather resolve it directly and quickly. Chargebacks filed on eligible for refund situations without giving us the chance to fix things first may affect future access to SpeedCalcs paid services.
